This page gives details of Swan Wheelers Cycling Club’s acceptable use policy, moderation policy and rules on user behaviour for the Swan Wheelers CC member forum, Swan Wheelers Members Only Facebook group and the Swan Wheelers member WhatsApp group (collectively known in this policy as ‘the forums’). In registering/joining and posting messages to any of the forums, you agree to the following rules regarding your usage.
Consider what you post
Once your comment is online, everyone registered to the group can see it. Please make your comment clear to ensure that is not misunderstood. Please consider how your comment could be received by others. Your content must not:
contain any material that is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, libellous or otherwise objectionable
be likely to deceive any person
be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.
You will not behave in an abusive manner, and will not harass, threaten, nor attack anyone. If you disagree with someone's posting or comment, don't attack that person ... agree to disagree, respectfully.
You will not post material that is clearly outside of the stated topic nor disrupt others’ use of the site by, for example, deliberately posting repeated or irrelevant material or copies of identical material
Confidentiality, privacy and impersonation
You must not submit confidential or private information to the forums. For example you must not upload the telephone number, email address of any other contact details of any person to a forum without their express permission to do so.
Any conversations conducted in the closed message features of the forums between a subset of members (ie private messages in the Swan Wheelers CC Member forum or Facebook Messenger) cannot be reposted anywhere else without the permission of all members involved in the closed conversation.
You must also not pretend to be someone else when registering or posting comments to a forum.
Report abuse
If you consider that a comment does not comply with these rules, please contact a member of the committee.
Monitoring
Forum posts are monitored by the admin for each forum. Where the moderator identifies a post which contravenes the above standards, they will remove it. We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to immediately, without notice, suspend or terminate your membership of, or the ability to access one or more of the forums, upon any breach by you of the above policy.
