Not sure yet?
Joining a cycle club can be a daunting thought. Be sure to take a look through our FAQs and also contact us with any questions you have. You are welcome to join us for up to three rides before we would ask you to become a member.
HOW DO I JOIN?
Join our club online via our SWCC page on the British Cycling web site. You do not need to be a member of British Cycling to use this facility. Or download and fill in the membership form and hand to our Club Secretary on a ride along with £18 cash.
Do I need a particular kind of Bike?
Not for the leisure rides. Mountain bikes, road bikes and hybrids are all regularly seen on the leisure ride.
If you're thinking of participating in one of the medium or fast rides, you probably want to consider using a road bike due to the higher speeds of these rides.
Of course if you're joining one of our off-road rides then we definitely recommend a mountain bike!

When do you Ride?
We ride every Wednesday and Sunday except in extreme weather. You can find out when we're riding next via our calendar.
Do you have a club jersey?
Yes and rather smart it is too if we may say so! You can see the design here.
I've just started cycling will I get left behind?
Absolutely not. The riders go at the pace of the slowest rider. We would ask you to take a realistic view of whether you can maintain the base pace if are thinking of joining the medium or fast rides.
I'm an experienced cyclist, is there a ride for me?
Yes, we run medium and fast rides on Sundays. These rides usually have a several club members with an interest in sportives, time trials and road racing joining them.
WHAT's involved in a club ride?
We've put together a guide on what to expect on your first ride, but if there are any other questions, please do get in touch.
