Ride leaders are responsible for planning and managing our group rides.
What does a ride leader do?
- Plan the route and café destination, and post the ride on our Forum
- Arrive 15-20 minutes before the ride starts
- Come armed with a pen/pencil and your Ride Sheet will be provided, check and add any additional riders
- Give an introduction to the ride (route, pace, notable sections, safety)
- Be familiar with the planned route
- Lead the ride by example, riding safely and obeying the highway code
- Make sure the group stays together - no one gets dropped
